Synopsis
The short animated film IN THE BEGINNING WAS THE CLIT makes the clitoris the main character in a humorous exploration of its medical, cultural, and artistic history - constantly looking for ways to shape her own clistory.
Clits day begins with bad news and an unpleasant appointment to be examined again. Meanwhile, her body-sharing community of Brain, Spinal-Cord, and Prostate is thrilled by the video “Wet Cat at the Pool,” which has just won the Pussi Award. This only upsets Clit even more, who has to admit to herself that she is jealous. Attracted by glamour and fame, she finally lets the Cheshire Cat (aka Magic Vulva) lure her into the queer ballroom wonderland, where she encounters herself and discovers her true greatness.
